The International Conference on the Quality of Information and Communications Technology (QUATIC) serves as a forum for disseminating advanced methods, techniques and tools for supporting quality approaches to ICT engineering and management. Practitioners and researchers are encouraged to exchange ideas and approaches on how to adopt a quality culture in ICT process and product improvement and to provide practical studies in varying contexts Oporto, Portugal, 29 September to 2 October 2010 Teaching ICT Quality This track addresses how ICT students are taught about quality. Desired themes include the teaching of such topics as designing for quality, assessing system and software quality, and maintaining system and software quality. Although software and system quality are treated in such documents as SWEBOK and the ACM/IEEE-CS computing curricula, the teaching of quality has technological, human and organizational aspects that call for explicit consideration. In this context, it is not clear how best to give ICT students a sensibility for quality and a culture of quality. This track is expected to be a forum to discuss those issues. |
