| Descricão e Informacões Adicionais | Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to analyze the performance of Public Attorney s Office in Brazil as a representative of local governance in order to preserve the collective interests, in view of the social and environmental impacts incurred in the hydroelectric project of Corumba III. The collective interests must be secured by means of local governance, avoiding serious environmental and health risks, in view of omissions of the entrepreneur, which performs its activities without necessarily being in line with the principles of ecological balance. The expected results of the work is to understand the role of prosecutors as an entity of governance in the search for balance of the ecosystem and mitigation of impacts on natural resources, compared to the diverse interests of the private sector, strongly supported in the economic vision. |
