| Descricão e Informacões Adicionais | O objetivo desta pesquisa é propiciar uma análise do sistema político, econômico e social das Falkland Islands, com o propósito de mostrar a grandiosidade desta pérola do Atlântico Sul , que foi palco de um conflito bélico entre Argentina e Grã-Bretanha no século XX. A tutela inglesa se manteve no período pós-Segunda Guerra Mundial, até o momento em que a Argentina decidiu pela promoção de um plano estratégico para legitimar o controle sob o território, optando pelo uso da força e da guerra. A Operação Rosário foi deflagrada pela Argentina, ignorando os mecanismos de resolução de disputas, do estabelecimento de medidas de confiança mútua, e da assinatura de um tratado internacional que lhe concedesse a posse legítima do arquipélago. As autoridades britânicas apresentam a tese da autodeterminação, os direitos inalienáveis dos islanders que são britânicos, e não aceitam a cidadania argentina, conforme referendo ocorrido em 2013. O futuro das Ilhas e de seus cidadãos depende de negociações bilaterais que perpassam pelo Comitê das Nações Unidas para a Descolonização, pelo crivo da UNASUL, da CELAC e da OEA. |
| Descricão e Informacões Adicionais(en) | The aim of this analysis is to bring to the fore the political, economic and social system of the Falkland Islands, besides showing the grandiosity of this pearl of the South Atlantic , which was the scene of a political conflict between Argentina and Great Britain in the XXth Century. The British tutorship was held until the Second World War. In April of 1982, after a century of the British rule, the military dictatorial political power which controlled Argentina, decided for the promotion of a strategic plan to legitimate its control over the territory, deciding to use the force and the war. Before launching the war, the Argentinean high command elaborated the Rosario Operation as a way to plan the war strategies it would be used by the military forces. The Argentinean State used to defend the nationalist thesis that the islands belonged to the continental platform. Decidedly, armed its troops and started a conflict ignoring the country s social and economic problems, which put the population against the government. The British authorities present the thesis of self determination, which is an inalienable right to the native people, the inlands who are British, and do not accept the Argentinean citizenship, according to the 2013 referendum. The future of the islands and of its citizens depends on bilateral negotiations, the United Nations Committee agreement, as well as members of UNASUL, CELAC and OAS.
