| Descricão e Informacões Adicionais(en) | The purpose of this article is to assess how mobilization campaigns materials of the National Forum for Prevention and Eradication of Child Labour (FNPETI) impact social representations of adolescents on child labor. It is a study of the reception process,based on the Theory of Social Representations of Serge Moscovici and on the notion of mediation of Jesus Martin-Barbero. We conducted a multi-method qualitative research which included the participation of seven teenagers whose families are beneficiaries of Bolsa-família The research took place in a community center located on the city of Taguatinga. Data were collected in three stages: participants? perceptions about work (1); reception and evaluation of campaigns (2) and preparation of communication materials on child labor (3). In the first two steps the method used was Focus Group (FG) and in the third it was held a workshop in which teenagers had to create material on the topic. It was found that official materials of the campaigns do not inform teenagersabout violations of their rights. The results indicate that the campaigns affect the social representations they have only in relation to children, but do not create identity and sense for the age group relative to adolescents. In elaborated materials they reproduced the ones traditionally used by the Forum, do not put themselves as subjects in campaigns, neither report violations of rights. |
